Full of the most beautiful monasteries framed by spectacular mountain peaks, and truly some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met, Armenia exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s so safe that even the country’s tourism office recommends hitchhiking as a great way to get around. There’s a ton of history, including the oldest wine making tradition in the world, so unsurprisingly they have some absolutely delicious wine, and absolutely delicious food to go with it. I promise you won’t be disappointed by a trip to this fantastic country.
