A very long country with some very distinct regions, Chile has a lot to offer. The desert of the north has some spectacular landscapes, while snowy Patagonia in the south is a hiker’s paradise with some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. In the centre, Santiago has some great food and wine, and Valparaiso with its colourful murals is a must. Easter Island, way off the coast, full of mystery and history, is still on my bucket list. I was lucky enough to cruise down the coast viewing some of the more remote areas, but there is still so much to discover of this diverse destination.
